Manmohan Singh sonia Gandhi , Shivraj patil to visit Ahmedabad Today

Indian Prime Minister Dr. ManMohan singh , along with Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Union Minister of Home Affairs Shivraj Patil are visiting terror hit Ahmedabad City today.

They will make visit to Civil Hospital , LG Hospital and Vadilal Sarabhai Hospital , where The injured are being treated. They would be returning to delhi in the evening.

SIMI Activist Abdul Halim Arrested in Ahmedabad blasts case

Wanted in the 2002 Gujarat riots , SIMI Activist Abdul Halim was arrested on Sunday from Danilimda area of Ahmedabad after a combing operation for his alleged connections to the Ahmedabad blasts.

Abdul Halim was wanted by the Ahmedabad Police for enticing disgruntled youths from the riot victims' refugee camps in and around Ahmedabad and taking them to Uttar Pradesh and sending youths across the border for training .

Right now Police is interrogating SIMI Activist Abdul Halim to get some clue about Ahmedabad Bomb Blasts.

Police is suspecting SIMI or Indian Mujahideen responsible Bomb Blasts in 2 Metro Cities of India. Namely Bangalore and Ahmedabad.

LK Advani Meets Ahmedabad blasts Victims

LK advani the Leader of Opposition of Indian assembly and BJP MP from Gandhinagar , Gujarat , Has arrived in Ahmedabad City on 27 july 2008 to meet the victims of Bomb Blasts in Ahmedabad. LK Advani visited Civil Hospital , Ahmedabad.

LK advani told the media that India needs a Special Law to fight Terrorism. Advani Asked UPA Government to Impose POTA.

Surat : Live Bombs Defused

Surat city of Gujarat is on High alert after the Serial Bomb Blasts in Ahmedabad yesterday.Today , Surat Police found 2 live bombs in Nupur hospital in the New Citylight area and Civil Hospital Trauma Centre in Surat. Police also Found 2 black wagon cars full off explosive materials , Timers and nut bolts which are used to make the bomb.

Surat Police has asked all the citizens to stay in home. All the Multiplex and Shopping malls in Surat have been shut.

Indian Mujahideen Responsible for Ahmedabad bomb blasts

A little known Bangladesi Terrorist group the Indian Mujahideen had sent an email to television station , Gujarat Police and IB that they are going to attack Ahmedabad. Stop us if you can. Thus they have accepted responsibility for the Serial Bomb Blasts in Ahmedabad.

It is suspected that Indian Mujahideen has support of SIMI and Huji.

Indian Mujahideen was also responsible for Jaipur blasts and Serial Bomb Blasts in UP.

Narendra Modi On Ahmedabad Bomb Blast

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the people to maintain peace in the wake of Saturday's serial bomb blasts in Ahmedabad and promised a thorough inquiry into the terror attack.

"The act of terrorism is intended to disturb peace and harmony in the state. Those who want to destroy peace would never succeed in their intentions," Modi said.

Among the places where a low-intensity explosion was set off was Maninagar, Narendra Modi's constituency.

Narendra Modi won the last assembly elections from Maninagar with an impressive margin on the promise plank of a safe and prosperous state.

Narendra Modi announced compensation of Rs five lakhs to the families of those killed in today's serial blasts.

The Gujarat government has also announced compensation of Rs 50,000 to the injured.

Modi convened an emergency meeting at the police headquarter in Gandhinagar and reviewed the security situation.

Bomb Blasts in Ahmedabad Updates

Today serial Bomb blasts in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat have created terror all over India. Till now 17 bomb blasts have been reported. More than 100 people have injured and 42 died. Most probably this is feared to be the the Biggest Ever Terrorist Attack in India.

The affected areas are Maninagar Chowk , Raipur , Bapunagar Diamond Market , Isanpur , Narol , Naroda , Juhapura.Saharanpur , Jawahar Naga the Old part of Ahmedabad City. Bomb blast in Civil Hospital , LG Hospital has also been reported. Civil hospital of Ahmedabad is Biggest Hospital of Asia. One of the blasts occurred inside an AMTS bus. The Terrorists have targeted Sabji Mandis , Hospitals , Bus stands.

Cycles were probably used to plant the bombs, G K Parmar, Joint commissioner of Ahmedabad city police, told rediff.com.

These were well planned attacks. The last 3 blasts were at the hospitals where the victims were being taken.

Investigations has been undertaken and squads are been put to work.

My Request to the People of Ahmedabad. Please stay at home . Please maintain peace and don't react to this cowardice act of terrorists. "Yesterday they did it in Bangalore. Today in Ahmedabad" They want us to react on these incidents. We as Indians need to prove ourselves even in case of crisis. So please maintain peace. Support the Police and Government. Don’t create panic and please don’t spread rumors.
