Celebration of days like Roseday , Chocolateday , Taporiday is Banned by Gujarat University , Ahmedabad.

The Gujarat University , Ahmedabad has banned celebration of days like 'Chocolate Day', 'Rose Day' and 'Tapori Day'. The official notice also mentions that if the students do not co-operate, the colleges are free to take the help of the police.


Why do Colleges and teachers don't like days celebration ?
Not all but many teachers dont like students celebrating these days for various reasons. 1st is the College Culture. They feel that these rose day , tapori day celebrations is not our culture. Students misbehave in the name of taporiday and rose day. Incidents have happened in last few days when there were clashesh between college groups during these days celebration. The 2nd reason is that the teachers believe that this is just an excuse from student to escape from study.

Why do students like days celebrations ?
There are various reasons. Now a days students like to socialise. Yo study the whole year , Why should not you take some break from study and enjoy some activities with your friends in college. These days celebrations gives chances to student to showcase their talent. I remember when I was in college , we were havign executive day , & we had business presentation competition. So its not that all students celebrate the days which is against our culture.
