GCET 2009 online by GTU ( Gujarat Technical University )

Gujarat Common Entrance test - GCET 2009 for admission into MBA and MCA colleges of various universities in Gujarat are to be conducted online by GTU - Gujarat Technical University .

The Date for Gcet 2009 :-
GTU will set up 2 examination centers in each district equipped with 50 computers at each center. Students will be able to take the Gcet 2009 online exam on any day between 1st June 2009 to 15 June 2009 .

GCET 2009 Result :
Students will be given their GCET score card just within the 2 hours after he or she completes the exam. This is the first time any GCET taker will be able to know his or her actual score. Till day the students were informed only their GCET rank and their Scores were kept secret.

GD PI excluded From the Admission Procedure :
There is also a change in admission procedure. Earlier GD - PI had a weightage of 20% in . But from now onwards GD PI wont be conducted , only the written ( Online ) exam scores will be considered for the merit list.

Till last year the GCET entrance exam was conducted by various universities in the state. However , Now onwards , Newly formed GTU - Gujarat Technical University will be conducting GCET entrance exam for MBA and MCA.

lk advani in Ahmedabad for Campaign election 2009

Lk Advani , Prime Minister candidate of BJP , is today visiting Ahmedabad city as part of his Lok sabha election campaign.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi along with Gujarat BJP candidates for lok sabha poll 2009 will be present during the public meeting has been organised at Kankaria Football ground 2009.

Industrial estate for women entrepreneurs

International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development ( ICECD ) signed one MOU with Government of Gujarat during Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2009 to develop 'Women only Industrial Estate.

Around 50 women entrepreneurs, who would invest around Rs7 crore in this reserved estate which will be setup at the outskirt of the Ahmedabad City. Some areas mentioned by ICECD are Bopal, Ghuma or Manipur.
